GOOGLE ADS VS META ADS

MAIN DIFFERENCE

Google Ads = Demand Capture
People search → You show the solution → They may buy.

Meta Ads = Demand Creation
People browse → You show an attractive offer → They become interested → They may buy.

SIMPLE EXAMPLE

Google:
“Buy running shoes online”
→ Your ad appears
→ User clicks
→ User buys

Google Ads and Meta Ads are two popular digital advertising platforms, but they work in different ways. Google Ads mainly focuses on capturing existing demand, meaning people see your advertisement when they are actively searching for a product or service on Google, YouTube, or other Google platforms. For example, if someone searches “best gym near me,” a gym can show its Google ad to that person. Meta Ads, on the other hand, run mainly on Facebook and Instagram and focus more on creating interest and reaching people based on their interests, behavior, demographics, and online activity. For example, someone scrolling through Instagram may see an advertisement for running shoes even though they were not actively searching for them.
